Typical Trackday

WHAT IS A TRACKDAY? First, a word about trackdays vs. riding schools. Riding schools provide a structured learning environment and teach from a formal curriculum. The track sessions are intended to practice the specific skills taught during the classroom sessions. By contrast a trackday is an open practice forum with no formal instruction. It is not a race day, but an opportunity to practice your skills and explore the performance capacity of your motorcycle. While our staff is quite proficient on the track, ApexTrackdays is not a riding school. We offer no formal instruction. However, we are very approachable and more than willing to help when asked. We highly recommend attending one of the many reputable riding schools that frequent our tracks. A single school event can provide a year’s worth of trackday practice (i.e. give you enough stuff to practice every month for a year, by which time you’ll need to take the school again). It also helps us assist you better when you do have questions if we have some common ground to discuss. Think of a trackday as a study group for the skills you learn at riding schools and from moto literature.
